Is UN a failure?

        UNITED NATIONS

The United Nations Organization also known as UN is an international organization initiated on 24th of October in 1945, comprising of 51 countries during it's inception and 193 countries today. Those 51 countries claimed to bring peace and friendly relations among all the nations, because the world was at war and millions of lives were being lost. However, the UN did actually oil the wheels but at some point, it threw in the towel and stepped back. Here we will mention some of the stories of UN that include it in the good books as well as the bad books of people around the world.

      Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Palestinians have been fighting the Jewish state, Israel, ever sine it's independence. Approximately 15000 Palestinians were killed and 750000 were forced to take refuge. Almost 90% of old Palestine is now in the hands of Israel. However, the United Nations" 138 out of 198 countries (which is 71.5% of total) had recognized the state of Palestine on 31st of July 2019, but it was all done after the deaths of approximately 13969 lives out of which 87% were all Palestinians; that means even though the UN supported or helped Palestine but it couldn't manage to bring peace.

            Kashmir Issue

For the rest of the world, impossible becomes possible when pigs fly but in India and Pakistan, it's when Kashmir issue gets solved! THis is because every solution ends in confrontation. Over the course of 75 years, these two countries have fought countless major and minor wars. The UN tried to solve this and as a result more than 40,000 kashmiris have lost their lives to this day.

            Afghanistan

Let's change gears from the UN's negative points to the positive ones. Despite all of the shabby stuff; in case of Afghanistan, I would like to give UN an A for effort. This country has been facing violence since it's inception in 1747! that is a dog's age!
The current issues of Afghanistan are uncountable, some of them are: Insecurity, Corruption, Mismanagement, Drought, Covid-19, the country being a LDC ( least-developed country) and immeasurably more! even worse the country is now in the hands of the Taliban. However, the UN has been present in Afghanistan since 1947 and it has been helping it financially since a long run. Recently the UN launched more than $5 billion funding appeal for Afghanistan. The UN has done a lot to soften Afghanistan when it's in deep and hot water.

              Conclusion

The UN always goes from "I will do it" to "I'll try to do it" but ends in just saying "I can't do it" and throws in the towel!

Pre-partition: explained

Pakistan is today, an independent and happy* country, where no one is prohibited to practice their religion and everyone here is genial, gracious and sociable and almost everyone here knows what their nation's history is; but do you know how brutal, cruel as well as captivating and compelling its history is? In this article, we will cover a very detailed history of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or basically "The Subcontinent". Although the subcontinent's history dates back to thousands of years ago, I will just start from a quarter of its history and for instance, 1498; this year is when for the first time the Europeans came here, in the subcontinent for trading purposes. Firstly, in 1498, there came a Portuguese explorer named "Vasco da Gama", who was the first Portuguese as well as the first European to enter this land. He reached here successfully with the help of "Ibn Majid", an Arab sailor. Ibn Majid helped Vasco da Gama through his journey fr...

Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Israeli-Palestinian conflict The Israeli–Palestinian conflict is the ongoing struggle between Israelis and Palestinians that began in the mid-20th century. Various attempts have been made to resolve the conflict as part of the Israeli–Palestinian peace process, with only partial success, as at the end of 2019. The origins to the conflict can be traced back to Jewish immigration and sectarian conflict in Mandatory Palestine between Jews and Arabs. It has been referred to as the world's "most intractable conflict," with the ongoing Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip reaching 53 years. Despite a long-term peace process and the general reconciliation of Israel with Egypt and Jordan, Israelis and Palestinians have failed to reach a final peace agreement. The key issues are mutual recognition and security, borders, water rights, control of Jerusalem, Israeli settlements, Palestinian freedom of movement, and Palestinian right of return. The violence of the...

ADVENTURE TIME!

Safety first! Peter, a 17 years old boy who grew up in the Brazilian capital, Reo de Janerio; had a massive curiosity to explore the beauty and the different creatures of Amazon, for instance, he was curious to experience the wonders of the Amazon rainforest. Though being so close to it, he had never gone there because the Amazon was also packed up with numerous venomous and dangerous animals like snakes, crocodiles, spiders, etc therefore his parents didn’t allow him. However, on his 17th birthday, he asked for a trip to Amazon as his gift, but his parents disagreed, after a lot of disagreements it was finally decided that he would go there with his friends but just for 2 days and with every safety equipment possible. “A bird in hand is better than two in the bush” ~he said respecting his parents’s decision. the next day they started their journey to the Amazon. When they reached there, peter started to capture the precious moments and the animals. After a lot of enjoyment, they were ...
